This week, for reading, we were set on a task. In our reading groups, We read a story about Shearers Strike, After we answered all the questions, We got to make our own opinion based of what we read, We made a perspective A perspective B and our own Opinion. In the story the shearers workers boss was not paying them enough money from the job, to feed themselves and their familys, So some workers quit, and they told other workers to stop working, and they stopped. But some had to go back to work, they still needed the money.
Ancient time telling
For inquiry the task was to be in groups of three, we learned about ancient telling time (hourglass, sundial, clepsydra). We used our smart searching skills to research and create a DLO that tells us about ancient timekeeping devices. We were challenged to get into groups of 3, and to find out what our device will be. An hourglass was used in ancient times, some people call it sand time or sandglass.
Moodboard
this is what my group and i did for our moodboard what is a moodboard ? Some may ask well a moodboard is a picture collage. It is made by putting different pictures, colors, and patterns together on one board. The board shows how someone feels or the kind of look they want for a project. It helps to show ideas without needing many words.

This is a peom about a child is walking home after going to buy things. It’s raining, so the child gets wet. The rain is falling all around. He liked to share his feelings and stories through his words. His poems often talk about nature, life, and feelings. People enjoy reading his poems because they are simple but make you think.
Procedurl Text
This is what my group and i did for our procedurl text,our dinosaur is the Iguanodon. what is procedurl text? Procedural text is a type of writing that shows you how to do something step by step. It tells you exactly what to do first, second, third, and so on, so you can complete a task or make something. Examples are recipes, instructions for building things, or directions to find something. It helps people understand how to do something easily by following the steps in order.
Maths DLO on how to add fractions
This is what my group and i did for our maths it shows what we are learing in our maths , it also shows what we know so far about our maths,the example in the DLO shows we do it.
Something intreresting i learnt during my maths time was that when you are adding fractions the denominator is same and you only add the numerator to get your answer.
Museum trip
When going to the Museum it was amazing since there was a lot of ancient stuff from many years ago many dinosaur bones and the World WAr 2 and World WAr 1 there so much infromtion behind the many anceint articfacts as well it was interresting i learnt a lot of history fr0m there too. In this DLO it shows what i have learnt from going to the museum there is still a lot i want to learn from the museum. A special fact i learnt from going to museum is that the bat,birds, Pterosaurs and many more dinosaurs that fly they all have a connection since they all have wings and are able to fly.
Tongan Word problems
this is what my group and i did for tthe tongan week it shows what we had learnt in maths so far it also shows that each person understand what they do in maths in the folloing week we contineing to do fractions rigt now we are adding fractions later on we learn to subtract fractions as well.
Rise up
This is the DLO i made for rise up it shows what i have learnt about the Dawn Raids and the polynesian Panthers so far when reading this it makes me feel heartbroken of what had happened in the past of how people were taken away from their loved ones, of how the small children might have been feeling when their siblings or parents were getting taken away,Off how confused and sad they might have felt during the Dawn Raids, how much the pain everyone might have felt during the Dawn Raids.
